
Because we are continually adding new activities it is impossible to mention all the things we do, but the following list does show some of the things we do here.
Prayer Team – Our devoted men and women who meet weekly to lift up community-wide prayer requests that are given to the church.
Children’s Ministries - Vacation Bible School is conducted every summer when children of elementary school age gather for wholesome lessons, recreation and fellowship. Bible Bowl is offered during the summer months at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays beginning May 19, 2013, for the summer. Children in grades K thru 5 enjoy games and Bible trivia.
Community Outreach Events – Periodic worship services include special evangelical events featuring spiritual leaders and musical groups.
Bible Studies – Frequent classes led by the pastor or church members that deal with contemporary issues, marriage and family matters or Biblical theology.
United Methodist Women – A loving group of women of all ages who gather for monthly meetings each month, conduct church fundraising activities and enjoy Christian fellowship.
United Methodist Men – Church men of all ages sponsor frequent breakfasts or fundraising events that support young people wishing to attend summer camp and other worthwhile endeavors.
Music Ministries – PVUMC is home for remarkably talented musicians who contribute to our overall spiritual growth. Please see more information under “Worship” in this website.
The 3 Ls – Or “Living Longer and Loving It,” is a fun-loving group of mostly retired folks who gather for monthly lunches, fellowship and light-hearted activities.
Prayer Shawl Ministry – An outreach project directed by ladies who meet monthly to knit shawls and pray over them to give to people who are seriously ill.
Christmas Baskets – A church-wide project to assemble baskets of food, clothing and toys to deliver to deserving families.
Missions – A special PVUMC committee that collects year-round donations that support various other community programs and humanitarian ministries.
Horse Riders – A church neighbor provides opportunities for children to share frequent horseback outings while learning to ride and care for horses. Held each Saturday morning, the Horse Riders enjoy devotion times and occasional guest speakers.
