WORSHIP
Worship is at the center of our faith. It is because of the high value we place on worship that we strive to create a powerful, moving experience at each service.
Our Sunday services are at 8:30 and 10:50. Our 8:30 worship time is a traditional service that appeals to men and women of all ages who enjoy older hymns and an established order of worship. Our 10:50 service features a contemporary format filled with praise music which appeals to a younger audience. During both services, we share our joys and concerns in prayer.
Our worship style is fairly informal. Some wear coats and ties; others wear jeans. We may sing from song books or a video display. Our congregation is diverse, relaxed and very friendly.
We have a salaried nursery worker who supervises infants and toddlers available during the 10:50 service.
MUSIC
Pleasant Valley Praise Team –
A group of contemporary Christian musicians performing with guitars, drums and keyboards. Their music is usually presented during the late Sunday service and other special occasions. These remarkable artists set the service’s tone, draw people into worship and prepare them to hear the Word.
Lloyd & Marka –
A father & daughter praise team featuring Lloyd Bartlett and Marka Stephens. Their frequent Thursday evening performances in the “Soul Café” services are uplifting and typically “country” inspired.
Elayne McGehee -
An accomplished organist and pianist who delivers an old fashioned Gospel sound. Her music fills our hearts and souls with joy.
Music Specials –
A variety of people of all ages from our congregation simply want to offer praises to the Lord. Their performances demonstrate God-given talents that lie within us all, and visitors are encouraged to participate in our church’s music ministry.
